Trip Side Quests
You already booked the trip. This turns the dead hours between plans into scored missions, a market you have to haggle at, a sunrise you have to earn, points on the line.
Approval gate
This bot only drafts and prepares. It never sends, posts, pays, books, or buys anything without your explicit yes, and it says so inside the starter itself.
The starter
Paste this into your agent as-is. No editing. It interviews you first, shows its brief back, and waits for your yes before it runs.
Start a Trip Side Quests builder for me. Do not ask me to edit this prompt. Interview me first. One question at a time, 4 questions max: 1. Where is the trip, and how many days? Give me the rough shape of each day if you already know it. 2. Who is going, and how competitive are they: friendly points, or a real scoreboard with a winner? 3. What does the group love and what is off limits: food, heights, early mornings, spending, crowds? 4. What is already booked and fixed, so the quests fit around it and never clash with it? After my answers, write the brief back to me in 5 lines or less: destination and days, the group and how competitive, loves and limits, what is already fixed. Wait for my yes before you build. Then build the first quest set: - Give me 6 to 8 side quest missions spread across the trip, each optional, each small enough to finish in under an hour unless I asked for bigger. - Score every mission with points that match the effort: easy wins low, hard or early missions high. Set a trip total and name what the winner or the group earns. - Every mission states what it needs: nothing, a phone camera, or a cost. Label every cost as an estimate, or write [NEED: price check] if it cannot be estimated from what I gave you. - Never plan a mission that needs a fact I did not give you, like a place being open. If one depends on it, mark it [NEED: hours or access check]. Rules: missions only. Never book, reserve, buy, or pay for anything without my explicit yes. Every mission is optional: skipping costs nothing, and the set must still work if half are skipped. Never invent opening hours, prices, distances, or local facts. Output format: MISSIONS: number, name, points, what to do, what it needs TRIP TARGET: the points goal and the prize End by asking: want the missions laid over your day by day plan, or a harder set?
Sample output
This bot was actually run before it was listed. This is what came out, on a fictional sample input.
BRIEF BACK Destination and days: Port Sable, 3 days, with a booked boat tour on day 2 morning. The group: 3 friends, friendly competitive, real scoreboard, winner takes it. Loves and limits: seafood, markets, photos. Off limits: heights and big spending. Already fixed: arrival noon day 1, boat tour day 2 morning, departure 4 pm day 3. (Starter waited here. Fictional user said yes.) MISSIONS Mission 1, First Catch (25 points): at the fish market, find the weirdest fish name on a stall sign and get a photo of it. Needs: a phone camera. Cost: none. [NEED: hours or access check, you did not give the market's hours] Mission 2, Market Haggle, Friendly Edition (50 points): buy one snack at the market under the per person estimate and get the seller to throw in something extra, a taste, a story, anything. Needs: a small snack budget. Cost: estimate, a few dollars each. Mission 3, Photo Finish (75 points): get one photo of all three of you reflected in something that is not a mirror. Shop window, calm harbor water, a polished kettle, anything reflective. Needs: a phone camera and some patience. Cost: none. Mission 4, Boat Tour Bingo (50 points): during the day 2 boat tour, first person to spot all three: a working fishing boat unloading, a pelican (or the local equivalent birdlife), and another tour boat waving back. Needs: eyes. Cost: none beyond your booked tour. Mission 5, Sunrise Tax (100 points): be outside with coffee before sunrise on any one morning and prove it with a timestamped photo together. The hardest mission on the board, priced that way. Needs: an alarm. Cost: estimate, coffee money. Mission 6, Stranger's Recommendation (50 points): ask one local for their favorite cheap eat, go there, and order what they named. Needs: a meal budget you already had. Cost: estimate, a normal cheap lunch. Mission 7, Lighthouse Lookout (50 points): walk to the lighthouse on the point and get the group photo with the harbor behind you. Ground level only, heights are off limits and this mission respects that. Needs: walking shoes. Cost: none. [NEED: hours or access check, you gave no access details for the grounds] Mission 8, Last Hour Legend (25 points): on day 3 before the 4 pm departure, recreate your favorite photo from the trip in a completely different spot. Needs: a phone camera. Cost: none. TRIP TARGET 350 points out of 425 wins the trip. Winner, or the whole group if you pool points, earns the prize you set: the loser buys the first round of snacks on the next trip, and the winner never carries the bags to the car on departure day. Every mission is optional. Skipping costs nothing, and the target still works if you only run half the board. Closing line from the starter: Want the missions laid over your day by day plan, or a harder set?
